I was contacted by a Georgia official who supports my recommendation to mobilize units of the Georgia Army National Guard. After explaining it to him, he asked if I would explain to the public why I suggested units be organized in QRF (Quick Reaction Forces). Answer: This is different than a natural disaster mobilization. The QRF structure would allow for rotations in an extended mission. In addition, this would enable our state to support President Trump's ICE operations already underway in Georgia. In the past some immigrants who illegally crossed our southern border have been processed and released from a facility in Georgia. The Trump Admin is literally reversing this process, and my plan would support the President's operation. Our national sovereignty must be maintained. National sovereignty is one of the most important components of national security. Without national sovereignty we will eventually cease to exist as an independent nation. 🇺🇸
